Fossil Hunting

We went fossil hunting for my birthday. I loved it. There is not much else that fills me with such a sense of wonder (maybe stargazing). These little critters lived around 200 million years ago. Given the nature of fossils and the fact the Jurassic coast fossils vary from 60 to 200 million years ago, you have to think these are at least plus/minus a million years or so. Which if you think about it is plus/minus three times the timespan of human like species or plus/minus twenty times the timespan of modern humans.

A quick Google search tells me there is a galaxy called NGC4709 which is around 200 million light years away. It's possible there is a creature there right now looking up at the light from our galaxy from around the same time. Plus/minus a million years or so.
