All at Sea
Day two of the voyage will commence with a sail past of some of Fifeshire’s most iconic towns: workmanlike Burntisland where the citizens are renowned for their industriousness and diligence, and gentle Kinghorn, home of artists and bon vivants. And when one sees the delightful aspect of their dwellings, perched on the sun kissed slopes, high above the azure sea, one could indeed be forgiven for thinking that one had been magically transported to the Ionian.
Then onward to fair Inchkeith, where Dr Johnson praised the sweet waters, to far Anstruther, that unbelievable jewel hewn from the imagination of the hardy souls who ploughed the seas, chasing the shoals of silver darlings.
And there, having set foot once again on land, passengers will be delighted to hear that the learned Mr McFlea will be on hand to add a local flavour to proceedings by regurgitating some of his favourite tales.*
