Calligraphic Desert
We visited the Worcester Art Museum today, mainly to see a small but wonderful exhibition of nine of Monet's paintings of Waterloo Bridge in London (he did 41 of them! -- these are all from American collections). There was a nice show as well of Japanese prints by Hiroshige--including eight owned by Monet and one of cranes (in the upper left on this page). There is an excellent small café in the museum, serving this artistic desert :) A terrific outing, to a top-notch small museum.
