Family

Here is my friend Alison outside the house where we are staying in Lubuto, near Ndola in the Copperbelt region of Zambia. The house belongs to Joyce Chishimba, who came to Scotland in 2014 as part of the Twinning between her church (Lubuto UCZ) and ours in Dunscore and Moniaive. I visited Lubuto in 2007 with 6 others including Luke who was 9 at the time.

It has been wonderful to meet up with people who I haven't seen for many years. We received an amazing welcome yesterday. The Boys Brigade band played us in with a display from the majorettes as well. The welcoming party wore specially- made t-shirts with our photos on them!

We have a full programme planned for the next 8 days and it will be lovely to come home to Joyce's house every night to relax. Also here live some of Joyce's family including Sanka (on the left holding Jojo) Shawn (on Alison's right), Shen (on Alisons left) Patricia, Given and Edward so we shall not be short of company. Theres also Mercy on the right of the photo who has come to help, and Dorothy who comes every day.
