For the love of holes.

We're refurbishing the Temple / Smoking Room / Elbow Room and a new carpet is coming tomorrow, so it's apposite to record the Mysterious Holes before they are removed.

The round holes are no mystery, they're simply ex-radiator pipe holes.  What is a puzzle is why a larger square hole was cut in the carpet & underlay above each one, and the square pieces put back in place.

Like a trapdoor for spiders.

(It's also a bit of a mystery why the radiator was moved from under the window to behind the door - but we're well beyond getting fazed by such things.)
