Found him

Last day on the boat, i found the first day particularly hard, mainly because I didn't really like "volunteering" my time for their company. But the last couple of days I have changed how I thought about it and now am happy washing a few plates for a boat ride and some awesome diving.

I was paired with an instructor on the first dive, I was wearing a new wetsuit which immediately caused a boyancy problem, I had to triple the weight I was carrying just to be able to be neutrally boyant. Swam around for 30min with a tour group and then one of the ladies was critical on air, so I took her to the surface and returned to the boat.

So many tourists have such dodgy diving practices. Shooting to the surface and having boyancy control problems mid dive.

On the 2nd dive I went with a guy called Greg, he was the first person that actually used air at the same rate as me, we stayed down 50minutes (the maximum permitted by the company) but we could have stayed over an hour for the air we had left in the tanks. I practiced my diving photography. We saw a HUGE turtle, maybe 1.5m long probably weighing 250kg +... I have no idea.

Quite enjoyed the boat journey back. And the 3rd banana milkshake in the beach walking home.

Want me to ruin finding Nemo for you? Read on....
So if the mother clownfish dies, then the father has no female, so the father changes sex to become a female. All the babies swim off to find new anemones. And a male comes along and meets this new female and makes a new family.
So Nemo should have been kicked out of his anemone at a young age by his father who just had a sex change and is looking for a new man for the anemone. The end. Not a great Disney movie though!

Finally on a differnt note.. Starting to wonder if I should continue this photo challenge, I like how it gets me to record my day, to keep a digital memory, practice photography and to connect with friends and family. And I do like how it is encouraging me to look for something to highlight each day, getting me out to see a sunset, when ordinarily I would just want to lie on the couch.

But the negatives are that I look at everything as a potential photo, I'm not living in the moment and appreciating a camera free trip, because there are no camera free trips. I am often busy, especially recently, and although I like writing about my day, it can take away most of the time I have in an evening to socialise. Itll be something I'll mull over for a few weeks yet I think.
