Early doors

To the Cave à Jazz in Conilhac this evening, for the Louisiana Hot Trio. I hadn't bothered to research them before booking, I just fancied a musical night out. So it was a pleasant surprise to find the group featured Thierry Ollé on the keyboard. Last seen playing the Hammond organ. The saxophonist and drummer were unknown to us but also excellent. I'm not often a fan of drummers, but this guy was both subtle when necessary, and virtuosic. A really enjoyable evening of early jazz and blues classics. Have a listen. We were too far back for any usable photos, so today's blip is an entry for my door collection, spotted en route from the car.

As last time, we chatted to our table neighbours -- French and German -- and found they also know our German friend A, plus various other people we know. Home somewhat after midnight.
