Solace Day 1 - 1st Lock

We managed to get out of the house earlier than usual. Amazing! 

After an uneventful journey we got to the boat by 1.15pm and by 3.pm we were loaded up and on our way. To get here we turn left out of the marina and pass by Shugborough Hall. I like this bit of the trip. There's The Man, in blue, opening the lock gates for us!

When we came down in the caravan last year we tried to find this cafe by round and failed, despite knowing exactly where it is on the canal.
