Puffins
At The Loons it was very busy with little grebe on nests, drake shovelers shoving each other about, gadwall, swallows and willow warbler etc. A walk to Marwick and over the cliffs to the village. I saw about 10 wheatears (including one only noticed later in the background of a hare photo). Thousands of guillemots, fulmar, kittiwakes, razorbill etc on the cliffs. A quartet of visitors were desperate to see puffins. I'd seen a couple distantly but five minutes after talking to the visitors, I saw 2 quite close. At least 2 pair of shelduck at Birsay Bay, dunlin, sand martins etc.
