As good as it got
After weeks with hardly any rain we've had a wet couple of days, and more so further west. Of course this was just in time to make the course for the trail race muddy and puddly.
The rain was fairly persistent with some heavier bursts but it just about stopped for about 3/4 hour before the race and I was able to get this view from the car park in the field.
The race itself went up a glen behind me then turned round and came back, hard work going up but great coming back down, 10k in total. I was pleased with my time, esp when looking at previous results and comparing people I know.
They had a tent for changing (good to get out of wet trousers, my top half was okay as I wore my rainjacket) and a free pint at the end.
