From another angle
Following on from this blip in March, this is the view of my cute little flower shop in Festival City from the opposite side.
We decided to do the much-needed grocery shop today. Normally, this job is avoided on a weekend, but as we only have one car, I can't nip out to do it tomorrow while G is at school.
Our first stop was at ACE. They are marking an anniversary with big discounts. G found two cake baking trays and we had a look at other items (bar-be-ques of all things). On to the Mall, and it was lunchtime by the time we walked into Festival City, so some lunch had to be eaten first.
The hypermarket was busy not just with shoppers but also with pre-Ramadan offers. The trolley definitely had more things than intended! At the end of it, I had to make two trips to the car to bring everything up.
A good, quiet evening followed. G attended a very interesting webinar about teaching over the internet. It went on for nearly three hours! They had some very good pointers. And later in the evening, I shared with G, a TEDTalks clip I'd watched in HK about Facebook's role in Brexit.
