New memorial

Was unveiled yesterday at our civic centre (War memorial hall) outside our information office. Sir Keith Park was born in Thames and was a war hero. A person who admired him left money in her will to create this bronze statue. Here is more information about him.

We didn't go to the ceremony as we were on the Firth of Thames for a couple of hours fishing for our dinner...which we got plus some for lunch and the next couple of days meals.
