Ferry dock

Very high winds today, ferry cancellations, branches all over the road, but fortunately no power outages...yet!  The neighbours across the road were burning a huge pile and there was another burning happening down in Fulford (2nd extra). I couldn't believe people were burning with that wind. Not only was the wind whistling through the trees, but also a neighbour up the hill was target shooting, so gunshots were frequent. After my walk, I worked in the garden for a few hours and might plant some veggies tomorrow if I feel ambitious. 
I forgot to mention that I saw something I've never seen before in town - a man handcuffed and being escorted into the RCMP vehicle just at the bottom of the stairs to TJs. It unsettled me. G has seen other arrests and there are often reports of illegal and dangerous behaviour in the local paper. I didn't see the guy's face so not sure if I've seen him around or not. The first extra is a rescued cleat I spotted on my walk.
