Trip to Troon

It was Gill's turn to have a Girls' Lunch, and Minty was invited to come with me to Troon for the day. He was a very well-behaved guest.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, so neither Gill nor Fiona wanted a walk on the beach, but The Mintster and I had two - one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

He loved  the beach! The tide was well out, so there was a vast expanse of sand for him to run freely on, lots of interesting seaweed to investigate and the occasional dog to have a romp with. It was a joy to watch :-)

As always it was lovely to catch up with friends from college days 50+ years ago. The only down side to the day was the heavy rain on both journeys and the long traffic jam caused by roadworks on the motorway on the way home.
