Local gift
How lucky are we? The school Christmas tree is gifted to us every year from The Hirsel Estate which is next door. It arrives on the first possible day in December for us to have it.
It is shimmied into its base which is a Heath Robinson effort made by the previous jani and then decorated with love.
All its decorations are made by every child, and close to the beginning of December carols are played and the classes walk in one by one and hand over their tree decorations to several members of staff at various tree heights.
Once they are all on, the hall lights go off and the tree lights go on - and once again the jani is the hero of the year!
Today it was all dismantled, the bottom lopped off and shredded and the top was delivered to a happy soul in the town.
The children take their precious decoration home and the family enjoy that for years to come.
Pretty good recycling really!!
The holiday starts here...aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!
