Very floral
Whoops, blobbed yesterday. I was so involved in a new blog project, stemming from a Facebook meme, that I totally forgot to Blip. That being so, I ensured that the camera came with us on the dog walk today.
We set out to do our "ordinary" minimum daily dog walk but decided on our way to extend it this way and that and finally ended up with a new route of exactly 10k - very useful!
The new route encompasses much of the daily minimum walk and parts of previously included extensions to that. These blooms are in a lovely little cottage garden in the little hameau of La Grande Ferriere. I always seek this garden out when we pass by and it never fails to delight. Look at that - Sweet Peas already!
We are trying to give Nell plenty of exercise before Thursday, when we think that we shall have to leave her at home whilst we go to collect the Batmobile. I will be taking the camera though and hope to grab a shot of the amazing colours that we saw on Monday when we went. Not only did we pass by fields of Flax, so pretty even under a flat grey sky but also the final leg of our journey took in a stretch of road lined with Laburnums, just starting to bloom, planted with some trees laden with pink blooms. I have no idea what they are but they reminded me of Daphne - with the stems covered in pink flowers on bare wood. The only thing is, I have only ever seen Daphne shrubs, certainly never more than four feet tall and these are most certainly trees. Whatever t hey are, the combination of colours was fabulous.
