The heavy rain caused more flooding to return to parts of Ryedale today, with more to come forecast. These sheep were perplexed to find their grazing underwater as the River Rye overtopped it's banks near Newsham Bridge. On the other bank, more sheep were lined up like tourists watching the swollen river, and probably their mates on this side too.
It really is miserable weather, but possibly preferable to freezing snow and ice?
I'm dreaming of a dry, mild Christmas, just like the ones I used to know...
