A ton of tulips!

Thankfully the weather was much calmer and milder today so the perfect kind of day to visit an NGS Open Garden.  And our favourite at Ulting Wick in Essex had it's first opening of the year and I was in tulip heaven! The owner, Philippa, plants 10,000 tulips every autumn and this is only a small sample of the effect it has! Oh to have a garden - and house! - as lovely as this!

And I didn't leave empty handed - I am never able to! - as they have a thriving plant stall to help raise more funds for the National Garden Scheme, so I now have 3 more Dahlias and 2 Auriculas that need room found for!
