Wave watching (Day 1453)

It was strange wandering up the hill this morning and not being blown around by the wind. Today is the first day for what feels like months that we haven't had a strong wind blowing.
With the woofer wander out of the way, and coffee levels topped up,  my beautiful wife and I made our way across to Stromness for a ride out on the horses. As we rode, the sun came out and it was pleasantly warm - a real treat. Back at the yard, we had a bit of a giggle watching George eating a tangerine (whole, with the skin on), which he absolutely loved.
Home for lunch and to collect the woofers, then off to Skaill for a walk north along the clifftops, stopping occasionally to look at the waves. We weren't the only wave watchers today.
Weather-wise, it has definitely been the best day of the year so far.
