Show Me Again, Dad

What a wonderful morning at Sweetwater Wetlands Park here in Gainesville, FL! This tiny Gallinule seemed transfixed as he watched his father 'grazing' among the water plants. Newly hatched Moorhens, as Gallinules are commonly called, were everywhere! Check my *extras for a couple more shots of these little beauties. Small flocks of Bobolinks were  flying this way and that enjoying the seeds on the many grasses growing this time of the year. Male Red-wing Blackbirds were, as usual, claiming their territories from any perch available.  A sweet Marsh Rabbit was nicely backlit, while a beautiful little Brown Rat was chowing down at the edge of the boardwalk. What a morning!
