Finally some sun

This photo was taken towards the end of the day, picked a fellow photographer for a day of photography, the weather was not the best but we started our journey of discovery of autumn. The weather was supposed to be fine, however the weather gods were not listening. the rain pelted down along the coast and we battled through and turning onto the road to the McKenzie where we found the rain had lessened and eventually became intermittent, we ventured out of the cocoon of the car and the warmth and got into the photography, autumn was the subject, but the sun wasn't around to lighten the day. Eventually we made it to Omarama for lunch in a cafe with an open fire, bliss, warm and nourished we continued towards Tekapo with the hope the sun would appear and eventually it did. The outside temperature was on the decline, fresh snow on the mountains and the wind chill the temperature must have been 3 degrees actual temperature . It was a wonderful day and her company made it much better for this photographer. New Zealand has some wonderful scenery and even in the adverse weather its worth venturing out .
