Rain and The Pain of the Plane stayed the same....
Oh dear Oh dear Oh dear........
What a day...which started at Sparrows flatulence + a couple when we (that's ME and The Boss, Bossess and the lovely lady from Alabama, bless her heart....to find the plane that was to take them to Christchurch was a tad late but did go. It was raining.....On arrival at Christchurch it was raining with a bit more enthusiasm and the plane (prop job) that was to take them to Wellington hadn't arrived to do that so waiting was in order. The Boss does waiting really well but The Bossess got a bit fidgety but some hours late we boarded and everything went black.....The Boss had put the cover on his pak cos it was pouring seriously. AND then the fun started.
The plane, a turbo prop thingie, taxied to the runway...The engines ran up and roared...The plane started to roll...The plane rolled faster and faster and faster and about the time that airborne stuff happens There is a huge noise as the propellers were reversed, the brakes applied and we plunged through the pouring rain to a shuddering stop.
The Pilot came on and explained something that didn't really explain anything but we returned to the terminal eventually parked and got off complete with all the baggage as we were to get "another" plane as that one had a "Water" problem.
fast forward and hour or so and there we were on another one of the same ilk AND I won't bore you with the details BUT exactly the same thing happened...2 aborted takeoffs . No one including The Bossess had ever had one but TWO....
Ok so fast forward another hour and we were on a Jet flying to Wellington from where this riveting news is coming. It's blowing a bit but not raining and tea and toast has saved the day.....
Blimey I,m knackered....
Tiny (slightly wet fur and all)
