Being Thankful
The highlight of our recent trip to Word Alive was the seminars on Enjoying God by Tim Chester. I am now reading his book by the same title, to refresh my memory of things that I found helpful and challenging.
This morning I was reading the chapter on God the Father and was reminded to thank Him for all his gifts that I so easily forget.
So on my walk this morning I thanked Him for:-
My health and fitness - being able to enjoy a walk.
Beautiful countryside walks on my doorstep.
Having two gorgeous dogs to accompany me.
Green fields.
Lambs.
Saddleback piglets running free in the woods (at least ten of whom came up to the fence to say hello).
Raindrops on leaves.
Leaves of all different shapes, sizes and shades of green.
Birdsong.
A robin perched on a fence.
Two goldfinches which landed on the path in front of me.
Bluebells.
Tiny white flowers tinged with pink growing in the hedgerows.
The sun, trying to peep through the clouds.
All these things and so much more, are good gifts from my Heavenly Father who loves me. I need to remember to be more thankful to Him.
