The Orchid.

A gorgeous gift from yesterday's visiting family.   A highly coveted, ornamental plant. A graceful, exotic beauty. In traditional Chinese medicine, they are used to help cure coughs and lung illnesses. In ancient Greece, orchids were associated with virility and male fertility. They believed that if a woman ate orchid flowers, she would bear a son to carry on family traditions. ( Don't try this ! )  I just think it is lovely to look at.
