Bob and Caley, Achaderry

Funny day.

Following Bob's arrival last night we had quite an "interesting" evening where there appeared to be some surplus canine energy. Thus we saw it as very important to see us enter this evening with three well exercised and tired out dogs. So first thing there was a tramp at Achaderry. There after the day resumed with me still having some errands in the town before returning to the desk.

Just as it was getting dark M prompted me "You were going to give these guys another run", these guys being Bob and Caley. Bruce on a twilight walk is not a good idea. If he gets a sniff of something rotten and putrid in the woods he is liable to follow his nose and give no regard to the swiftly setting sun; or for that matter the hollering of anyone trying to find him.

So it was just Bob and Caley on the night walk.

Well, it seems to have done the trick. The two yellow boys appear well rested and there is none of last night's wrestling.

Action photography ( and that is what snapping these yellow boys is) is very difficult in deep winter. Everything is against the camera; or its operator. A slightly smaller aperture forgives inaccurate focusing but the light is so poor that you have to work close to maximum. You want a fast shutter speed but this forces up ISO and then the image looks like its snowing.

Any way, this is Caley and Bob on the morning walk, the one which wasn't done in the dark.
