2019 Sunday — Family Gathering

A month ago our niece offered to plan the annual family gathering. That was right about the 1 year date of Grammie Fun’s exit from earth. Last year we gathered on Saturday, April 29 to celebrate Grammie and at that time we decided to try to get together annually.

So this year our granddaughter Desiree and her family have moved to San Diego from the Midwest, so they were available. Our nephew, Aaron, who is not in this photo, lives in San Diego. His oldest son, Nicholas, is in the photo. And our niece, Nikki, who planned this event, lives in Escondido, but didn’t get to attend because she’s not feeling well.

It was a 90-minute drive south for us. Thankfully the traffic was not awful for the trip to San Diego; hours later the return trip was much more congested.

We had a very good time and got to be with our 3 great-grands. Tristan is 12; Jade is 3; and Emillia is 3 months. Seeing them was fun.
