Almost a year and a half after quitting my job at the hospital in Denver to travel through Asia, it's time to get back to work. I've used much of that time reflecting on what is important in my life to keep me fulfilled while I'm not preoccupied with catching the next bus across boarders every few days. And nursing is one thing I know will keep a lasting fulfillment through my lifetime. Knowing that I am there to hold someone's hand during some of the hardest times of their life is something that will always be more important to me than any other kind of personal growth or adventure. It feels good to be back to my calling.
