The view from the Scillonian Club window

A great view, although the ambience is a bit lacking.
Nevertheless the fish and chips was great, the Skinners Porthleven ale tastes super and the Six ladies from the St Ives gig racing team make your average rugby club look a bit lightweight.
The world (of Scilly) goes mad at the weekend with the world gig racing championships. 160 boats, crews of six rowers plus a coxswain plus hangers on, around 2000 people roaming the town.
