More Gardens

Woke up with a screaming sore throat and ‘my mother’s cold’. Typical holiday occurrence! Took a short walk down to the village to the excellent Tuesday Market for treats then spent rest of the day wrapped in a tartan blanket in front of the log stove reading (with growing horror) the biography of Osgood McKenzie whose house we are staying in, creator of the garden and, as it turns out, a rather ghastly man in several respects. primarily with regard to the treatment of his poor wife. NTS choose not to mention this on their marketing!!
