Early morning advent calendars
No matter how hard I try at the moment we are half an hour late to all our morning groups. We are just much more sociable with each other in the evenings. Charley's nap is when Ben really ought to have tea so Ben gets a snack and we eat together later on, just before the boys (and I) go to bed. So they don't wake up with the rest of the child population at 5.30am. And Steve has no need to be up and out at the moment, so we don't either....
This was not very early this morning. I got to open the advent calendars with the boys this morning!
So we were late to Little Fishes but it was nice to see people. Charley climbed, Ben showed everyone his new flashy shoes, I lost count of the number of times I took Charley down off the chairs.
Lunch at home, then an afternoon of prep for the final craft fair of the season at Ben's preschool's AGM. Ben didn't want me to go out. I've been out a few evenings recently and Ben's not so keen on it! He cried, lots. He was very hungry though and calmed down once he'd eaten. Charley fell asleep in the wrap on Steve but grumbled loudly when he woke up so they came along to visit the school and me!
It was a lovely evening though. The stall looked good, the comments were fantastic, I made enough sales to keep my heart happy, and am really hoping whoever won the fully customisable cup in the raffle gets in touch, I hope they like the prize and how it turns out! The absolute highlight of the evening was getting to read Ben's Learning Journal though. Such an amazing read, he's a true star. I grinned my way through reading it, they've really caught the essense of him in there!
