EU Fisheries policy

Last year we "transplanted" around 1000 toads & frogs. This year more like a hundred or so. Slowly beginning to have an effect but will take years before the urge of adults to return to their birth pond is gone.

Our goldfish are multiplying to alarming numbers but it is illegal to "transplant" them to any natural waterways.

On the outskirts of the village, the annual toad, frog & amphibian crossing action is underway where several thousand get carried across the road.
