El Conquistador

This is now designated a "historic landmark sign", originally installed 1962. It was dug out of storage, restored at a cost near $50k. Will be re-lit tomorrow with a ceremony. The shopping mall has been under renovation too. It's a Tucson oldie, affectionately named El Con.
