Learning
Today I had the opportunity to go on an informal photography course run by an internationally published sport/parkour photographer. That kind of opportunity isn't one you pass up in a hurry. Learnt a lot. I now know the best settings for sports photography, I know it's better to under expose than to over expose as you're never getting information back from the highlights. I know how to check my histogram. I know how to best compose the shot to get clean action. I didn't quite get the hang of how to make the camera focus on the right place at the right moment in time but I'm sure that will come with practice. I shot in raw and jpeg but I still lack the skill to edit the raws and the colours looked flat and lackluster regardless of what I tried. As such, this is the JPEG, straight from the camera of one of my favourite moments as a parkour athlete jumped above my head.
