Horse Chestnut

I had to pop to the local shop before my friend arrived today as I realised I had no tomatoes for the bolognese sauce. On the way back I did a slight detour to take photos of the horse chestnut trees which are huge and fully flowering at present. There are crows' nests in the top of them which we could see before the leaves came.

I had intended to cook a roast today, but my main oven fan has broken and it's unusable. A chap is coming to look at it tomorrow morning. Anyway, the bolognese turned out well and we spent a nice day finishing watching the latest Star Trek series which has been very good.
