Edinburgh's Finest

Such a good day to get away AWOL. A visit to the BP Portrait Award exhibition before taking in Babette's Feast at the Filmhouse. What a gorgeous little film. And then briefly to the usual den where I met up with AJ and some others. His 16 year old son has been seriously and scarily unwell with a brain abscess (it looks like he's on the mend at last) and this was our first chance to discuss it and buy him a drink to unwind a bit.
And then... the seasonal curtain raiser - the Rezillos! Here comes the weekend indeed!
