Keeping in touch

Sending Christmas greetings is a tradition that has a long history. Although not as many people send cards these days, I still enjoy hearing from old friends, long ago neighbors, distant cousins...people with whom we seldom connect except through an annual Christmas card. Today I received one card from a college roommate I hadn't heard from in several years, one from another close friend from my college days, and a third from neighbors who moved away 19 years ago and are only heard from at this time of year. It's a good way to renew old memories.
