A Bed of Irises

Irises, irises, irises and more irises!! The Wednesday drawing group sat and painted among the flowers at Cummins Iris Farm in Scotts Valley. Their place is strewn with intriguing eclectic yard art, old tools, birdhouses and farm equipment, but the hundreds of irises, in every color combination imaginable, are the real stars. It is humbling to try and mix those incredible tones. The Extra shows one of the artists at work, and oddly reminds me of yesterday's excursion to the Monet show.
