Ouch

Here I go again, back to Casualty for the second time in a couple of years with a repeat of about as trivial a problem as you could have - but still needing attention.

I had grabbed for a rug I'd put on the verandah during the big house clean and the splinter went straight in.

Mr isbi tried to pull it out without success and the Dr couldn't either so he had to give me some local and lift the nail bed and scrape it out bit by bit.

Thank goodness for anaesthetic and medical care. Trivial as it was, I wouldn't like to have been in a remote area without either. 
And amazingly I was in and out in 50 minutes. A 4 or 5 hour wait woundn't have surprised me.
Nonetheless it was the end of the day's cleaning. But blip solved.
