Beer Can Chicken

Tried this for the first time. The beer can is inserted up inside the chicken and keeps the chicken well moist during the cooking process with the beer steam. I tried the skewers as additional supports in case the bird fell over. It wasn’t needed in the end. 1.5 hours in a regular oven on around 180 deg C. Seasoned with mixed herbs, salt and pepper. It was AMAZING! Very tender and succulent chicken. Beer as the main part of the gravy was also a bonus. The Rosemary and Sage came from the garden. Will definitely do this again.
