19th Century Surgery

Mounted on wheels with basic mechanical adjustment options this operating table was used by Sir William Mcewen in the 1800’s at Glasgow’s Western Infirmary.

Sir William was a pioneer of early brain surgery.

The table is on display at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
