Twin Towers
Looking for a bit of inspiration for my Blip today I turned to my book "111 Places in Glasgow that you shouldn't miss." Entry number 42 is the mighty Garthamlock Water Tower and it's smaller partner Craigend Water Tower. Blip sorted!
According to the book, Garthamlock Water Tower is the largest in Britain with a capacity of 4.5 million litres. At a height of over 30 metres it is Britain's second-tallest water tower. It was built between 1956 - 1958 and supplies water from Loch Katrine in the Trossachs to the good people who live in the housing estates in which it stands.
