Amaryllis

Finally this week my two amaryllis have flowered.  I planted the bulbs in early January and it had got to the point where I had nearly given up on them; they just sat in their vases looking sorry for themselves doing absolutely nothing.  Then, suddenly they started springing to life.  For some reason mine always flower later than everyone else's but they were even later than usual this year and it was worth the wait.
