...but from what I hear from local beekeepers this has been a very lean season. Little or no honey has been harvested and what there is in the hives will be left to sustain the bees over winter.

Long may the honey bee rule here and around the world...a third of the food we eat depends on honeybees for pollination.
We would very hungry without them.
