The Pieta

This morning we were up early for our Vatican Museum tour.  I was blown away by the immense collection of art, sculptures, relics, and religious items curated there. Standing inside the Sistine Chapel gave me chills.  The main pic is Michelangelo's Pieta in Saint Peter's Basilica. Being inside St. Peter's was also an amazing and humbling experience.

This evening we attended Stations of the Cross at the Colosseum. We were part of a huge crowd there but we managed a pretty good view of the Palatine Hill and Pope Francis.
