The dropped stitch

Plockton

The mountain climbers set off early whist I enjoyed the luxury of a leisurely morning in our holiday house.

After lunch R and I did some Sunday-style driving round the area, ending in the attractive village of Plockton.

Admirably neatly tended gardens and a picture postcard view at ever turn. I can imagine the place is crawling with visitors in summer but today its quiet sleepiness added to the attraction. I would have liked to find out more about the local growing conditions but couldn't spot a willing gardener to question.

It was warm and sunny. We sat on the sea front, each with a 2 scoop ice cream, and agreed all was well with the world.
