Easter
Took Mom to the service, which started at 5 am.
Scoured the Church for a blip.
I know, I know....... you're supposed to pay attention to the service, not the surroundings, but when you've got a photographic assignment, YOU MUST keep your eyes peeled.
For the first time ever, I noticed the stain glass windows, particularly as the sun came up and they transformed from being black blobs, to "paintings". I mean, I really noticed them. I realized that each of them had little plaques beneath them, telling the story of how it came to be.
The one we were sitting nearest, had been donated, by a family in memory of their son.
In between things.....
I know, you're supposed to be quiet.
I asked about it.
I was stunned, Mom knew who the window belonged to and the story behind it.
You can see the window in the extra. Not a "great" shot.
I felt "comfortable" whispering to Mom, to get the story, but didn't think, hopping over the pews, to get the perfect shot was appropriate.
PS. When we got home, since we were dressed up, I decided we should take photos for our passport application. Learned something interesting. Taking a photo with a cellphone is NOT as easy as one would think. It took 30 minutes and lots of cajoling to get one photo of me. She wasn't taking them skew or anything, just couldn't get the camera to engage. NO IDEA WHY. All you have to do is tap the button.
Anyway, stuck the pictures in the extras.......... here we are, dressed up and ready to "emigrate".
Okay......... I look like I am about to kill - probably am.
