E Pluribus unum II

I had after work art exhibition and dinner date with my artist friends in Kangasala. We went to see Samuli Heimonen's exhibition One out of many  in the Kimmo Pyykkö art museum (love his works!) and then we had dinner in the restaurant Paakari.

In the picture is a detail of Heimonen's large oil painting called E Pluribus unum II. I just learned that E Pluribus unum means out of many and it is an old motto of the United States.

My lovely family threw me name day party in the evening, sundaes and a book I had on my wish list.
