A Slight Detour

I left Lorraine’s at 8am and decided to take a slight detour to Bicester Village as I had an extra 20% discount code.  I didn’t plan on spending long there as the boys had to wait in the car, but wanted to nip to Tommy Hilfiger.

Unfortunately there was nothing of interest this time, but I guess that’s not a bad thing as I’ve decided I want to buy a new Apple Watch as mine isn’t waterproof and I want one that I can go swimming in - I’m fed up of having to count my lengths!  If anyone wants to buy a series 1 in good condition, please let me know.

Alan landed at Heathrow at 10.25am and I got home about 10 minutes before him.  He’d had a good flight and had managed to sleep so was keen to go out for a walk and get some fresh air.

We walked down to the beach and along the Undercliff Walk, stopped at Molly’s for a hot chocolate, a coffee and a cake, and then walked into Rottingdean.  We called at Elif’s shop, although she wasn’t there, but we met her French intern who’s there for a couple of months.  She’s a really nice young girl called Marion from Toulon, and we had a chat in French.

Alan and I then had a stroll through Kipling’s gardens before heading back along the Undercliff Walk.  We stopped at The White Cliff Cafe for a glass of wine, although Alan had a soft drink as a glass of wine would have knocked him out!

It’s nice to have him back home and it’s a long weekend too. Hope you have a good one!
