inspired by those special gifts

It's the thought that counts. The simplest of gifts can be the most memorable. There are some occasions, however, when only the best will do.

The wise men from the East had been studying the stars. They were not expecting the end of the world. They were looking for a baby born to be king. An unusual star led them to Jerusalem, we are told. Their gifts had to be easy to carry and non-perishable. They chose symbolic gifts of gold, frankincense and myrhh.

Legend has it that there were three men, each carrying a gift. They might, or might not have been kings, and Jesus was probably toddling around before they found him.

We all make what we will of Christmas time. Truth or legend, there are lessons to be learned. May your Christmas be a special time for you and yours.
