Behind the scenes

Signed up for a behind the scenes tour where we got to take tea with the captain (Captain Chris) on the bridge, a visit to one of the bar pantry, a birds eye view of the engine control room, a walk along the M1 (the main corridor used by the crew), a look at the crew mess deck and living quarters, a visit to one of the 8 galleys onboard and a talk from the hotel manager over a glass of fizz.

The blip is of some of the chefs and one of the kitchen porters (was very pleased that the exec chef called the porters out for the great job they do) behind the show of dishes to be served at lunch.

Great tour which was followed by you’ve guessed it another afternoon on the lounger.

Watched the early show this evening - a medley of summer hits including several by Meatloaf made me a happy lady.
